Picture of the Gospel The Cambodian Church meets often for encouragement, learning and praise, petition and worship God. Every first day of the week (the day Jesus was raised) it remembers and shows forth his death, burial and resurrection by sharing the Lord's supper, bread and wine which represent the body and blood of our crucified and risen Savior. As his visible expression, we resolve to take this picture of the gospel to our world. The church teaches and practices believer's baptism for the remission of sin. We believe the Bible teaches that the baptism pictures and embodies the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. It is the visual confession of faith in the power of Christ's work. It marks the change from self-center living to Christ-center living, a death to sin and resurrection to new life in the Holy Spirit. God forgives, adds us to the body and empower to a new life with Jesus as both Savior and Lord. Although individual Christians engage in the private devotions, They often meet together expressing their faith, hope, love, their head and heart needs to God and one-another in song and prayer and study of the Scriptures. They encourage and build one-another up at every opportunity through word and deed. They give money, times and energy to express the love of Christ in taking the compassion of God and the gospel to other people and places, especially Cambodian and other hurting nations as well as the person next door, at school, work or play. With Paul, the great ambassador of Christ, we are not ashamed of the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. " Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:15-18
